How it works

From the first photo to a tidy job site.

  1. Step 1

    Walk-through assessment

We go through every window and door, noting what needs attention. You get a single quote covering the whole job.

  2. Step 2

    Seals, hardware, alignment

Weather seals replaced where perished, tracks cleaned and lubricated, hardware adjusted, catches and keepers re-aligned.

  3. Step 3

    Drainage and weatherproofing

Weep holes cleared, drainage paths checked, gaps in seals or beads addressed.

  4. Step 4

    Function test on every opening

Each sash and door tested, adjusted, and signed off. Ones that aren't operating like new get fixed before we leave.

Quoted per property after walk-through. Typical 3-bedroom home is a half-day visit. Commercial maintenance rounds are quoted per visit and per opening, with optional annual scheduling.

FAQ

General Joinery Maintenance questions

Common questions we get about general joinery maintenance across Christchurch and Canterbury.

Is this worth it if my windows are working OK?
Yes. Most aluminium joinery failures happen gradually — a seal goes a bit soft, a roller wears, a catch loosens. A maintenance visit catches small issues before they become expensive repairs or full replacements.
How often should aluminium joinery be serviced?
Every 3 to 5 years on residential. Annually on commercial properties or coastal homes where salt exposure accelerates wear. Most people find a service every few years pays for itself.
How long does a maintenance visit take?
A typical 3-bedroom home is around half a day. Larger homes or commercial properties are quoted per visit after walk-through.
Do you bring your own seals and parts?
We carry common sizes in the van for same-day fixes. Specialist or non-standard items are sourced and fitted on a return visit if needed.
Can you do annual rounds for commercial properties?
Yes. We schedule recurring maintenance for shopfronts, body corporates, schools, and rentals. Keeps small issues from turning into expensive ones.
