How it works

From the first photo to a tidy job site.

  1. Step 1

    Identify the existing hardware

We work out what brand, profile, and spec your existing hardware is. Most NZ aluminium joinery uses a handful of common manufacturers.

  2. Step 2

    Source matching or compatible parts

Original brand where available. Where it's been discontinued, we fit a current equivalent that matches the cutout, finish, and operation.

  3. Step 3

    Fit, test, clean up

Hardware fitted on site, operation tested, frame and surrounding area left clean.

We carry common rollers, friction stays, and handles in the van for same-day fixes on standard NZ profiles. Specialist or imported hardware is sourced and fitted on a return visit. Quoted per-item or per-job, free of charge.

FAQ

Hardware Replacement questions

Common questions we get about hardware replacement across Christchurch and Canterbury.

My handle is broken. Can you match the original?
Often yes, especially on common NZ brands. Where the original is discontinued, we fit a current equivalent that matches the cutout, finish, and operation. You usually can't tell the difference.
How much does a typical hardware replacement cost?
For a single handle or roller, it's usually inexpensive — most replacements are tens of dollars rather than hundreds, supplied and fitted. Multiple items in the same visit drop the per-item cost.
Can you do all of a house's hardware in one visit?
Yes, and that's usually the most cost-effective way. One trip, one quote, all sorted.
Do you guarantee the parts?
Yes. Manufacturer warranty on the parts, our own warranty on workmanship.
